A great method to train your body to handle stress

Learn to put your body in the ideal physiological state that is appropriate for a particular stressful situation.

See yourself with great posture, sitting or standing in the midst of the predicament. In your mind attend to the way you carry yourself:

  1. Head high, pretend your head is being pulled towards the sky
  2. Neck long and eyes looking slightly upwards
  3. Jaws loose,
  4. Smiling with your whole body,
  5. Shoulders broad and loose,
  6. Chest open,
  7. Abdomen pulled in,
  8. Back long,
  9. Hips and pelvis balanced and even
  10. And your breathing is deep and calm in and out thru your nose.

Visualize yourself several times a day maintaining this kind of great posture in difficult situations, and affirm with conviction that you can handle what comes your way, and you will not be easily derailed by the stressors
